This vineyard is so beautiful! Although we came on a cold rainy day, we enjoyed the wine tasting, the food trucks, grape
stomping, safari tour and watching a Polo match for the first time! We will definitely be back for the Hot Air Balloon ride as it was rescheduled due to the rainy weather. Overall, a great experience! The views, the animals, and the food was delicious. Everyone working was very friendly and welcoming! We received updates daily about the event and they were very communicative on the air balloons being contingent on the weather. The parking could’ve been better as a VIP then again it is in the beautiful countryside, but overall I was satisfied with the whole experience!
I had the most wonderful time with my girlfriends over the weekend! We stayed at their Yurts and Bob was simply the best showing us around and made us feel so welcome. We spent the evening around the fire, and when the evening got cool our Yurt was incredibly cozy. The beds and the pillows were AMAZING, I had some of the best sleep of my life. Then the next morning we went on their Safari Wine Tour done by Roger and he was incredibly knowledgeable, and you can tell he truly loves all the animals on the property. Feeding the camel and the zebra were the highlight of my life!!!! At the winery all the staff were kind, especially Rick & Jamie - we cannot wait to come back!!!
While the weather didn't cooperate with the November 25th Balloon Fest we enjoyed our time on the ranch. The people working the event were friendly, appreciative, and fun. We enjoyed some delicious burgers and beef appetizers. (We left before dinner was served due to the weather.) The wine flowed freely in the tasting area and there were also whiskey and vodka tastings. We watched part of the polo match and people stomping grapes. Unfortunately, the one thing the organizers can't control is the weather. They've been more than accommodating in allowing us another opportunity for the balloon ride. We look forward to out next visit to the ranch.
Was at Grapetown Vineyard this Saturday 11/25/2023 while the weather left a bit to be desired the polo, food amenities were all well worth the price and drive. The staff all went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time they were professional friendly and did everything in their power to insure all who attended had a great time. We will definitely be going to more events at this venue
We've been pleased to photograph 31 of the Victory Cup events over the past 8 years -- sometimes in extremely challenging weather (welcome to Texas!), sometimes when things can't go as planned (welcome to life!) -- but we've never had to walk more than a few paces anywhere to find people smiling, laughing, and enjoying the plentiful opportunities to make a good time for themselves and for others. You don't have to think for very long to realize how many variables and complexities are necessarily involved in events of this magnitude, and we've grown to appreciate the effort that goes on "backstage". Our 5-stars are well earned by the resilient people who labor tirelessly and generously behind the scenes to serve -- giving it their all, all the time.
Amazing experience. We did this for our one year wedding anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. We got to feed zebra, goats, kangaroos and deer. We are already planning our next trip with family members. Jamie and Roger are so nice and elevated our experience. They made us feel welcomed and at home. Great escape from the city!
We initially went for the grape stomping, which was absolutely not worth it. We ended up not even doing that. All that consist of grapes something is getting into a little bucket and stomping on a handful of grapes for a picture and then getting out for the next person. BUT we enjoyed the venue by drinking some wine, walking around, relaxing and listening to the live music. We would go back, but definitely not pay for grape stomping.
At first, I wasn't sure about the experience then, the safari started. The individual who hosted the safari was very informative & knew each animal (pet) well. Wine tasting & fudge tasting were fine also. It is a 4 hours tour. Amazing weekend get away.
